Atomized Modernity – 100 years of architecture in Czechoslovakia


Short animation shows 100 years of architecture in Czechoslovakia. It is story of large housing complexes, individual v.s collective, influence of politics on architecture during the century. Journey starts in Bata´s Zlín, continues in Ostrava Poruba, story of Most city, building of Petržalka in 70s, Velká Ohrada in 80s and ends in contemporary suburbia.

It is based on book „2x100mil.m2“ by Martin Hejl & Collective, which is main exhibit of Czech pavilion at La Biennale di Venezia 2014
