Sirius were approached by District Eight Design to make a short film about their brand.
They focused primarily on how the products are made; highlighting the carefully hand-crafted details and finishes within the steel and wood work, and the use of very traditional manufacturing techniques, which come together to produce modern industrial furnishings; each piece with it’s own distinct character.
Co-founder and designer Darren Chew fell in love with the culture and architecture of Vietnam whilst visiting in his early 20s. He spent a lot of time around District Eight and downtown Cho Lon (District 5) and as a result most of his designs are inspired by the industrial age and the French Colonial period.
