Architect’s Statement:
We have designed an extremely sustainable house on the site of the Maandag family’s landscaping business.
The house refers to the former work shed and greenhouse with its characteristic form, materialisation and detailing.
The gardener’s way of life is evident in the design. Key concepts like craft, awareness of the environment, creativity and ‘down-to-earthness’ play a role in this Zero-Energy House.
