In 2012, Kev and Kimberly Polk lost their foster children to a different placement. Soon after, they realized they were headed down separate paths in life. In the wake of major transitions, Kev began designing and building a tiny home, a goal he had for a long time.
Now, Kev’s home is anything but conventional; less than 100 square feet, built on wheels and completely off-grid. Living by himself simply and efficiently has brought Kev more freedom and comfort. Kev now utilizes his time designing tiny house communities, which go by the name of Amaranth, and building them to encourage more people to share in the lifestyle he chose and created for himself.
