“Silky Concrete” is a workshop project in DADA 2015 & Shanghai Digital Future in Tongji University, Shanghai China.
This project continues the research of combining additives and subtractive manufacture in architecture design and practice. Compared to the 3D robotic printing / sculpting in the last year event, the Silky Concrete targets the architectural installation in human scale by taking the ways of 3D printing and Robotic fabrication. This pavilion’s dimension is about 5.4*4.3*2.5m (length*width*height), which allows three entrances with 1.8m clearance.
This video represents the whole process from schematic design to the site assemblage.
