It began in 2009 when Westbank and SALA teamed up to bring Pritzker Prize winning architect, Tadao Ando, to Vancouver. Architect Bjarke Ingels followed in 2013 with a stunning presentation.

In 2016, Westbank and SALA are teaming up again to bring Kengo Kuma, Japan’s leading architect just awarded the new Tokyo National Stadium, to Vancouver for this year’s discussion topic: small to large.

The conversation with Kengo Kuma, joined by a panel of Vancouver’s architects and academics, including Bing Thom, James Cheng, host Michael Green, and George Wagner. This event was held at the Chan Centre, in Vancouver BC, the evening of April 12th, 2016.
