House in Villette, a residential building designed by Charles Pictet et Baptiste Broillet Architectes Associés in Villette, Genève. Completed in 2023, the house, oriented diagonally for optimal views and sunlight. The structure includes three staircases and multiple hidden passages, allowing for varied interior and exterior perspectives. This design fosters a dynamic spatial experience and enhances a sense of well-being.
This large, entirely new house overlooks a vast valley carved by the Arve, a turbulent river descending from Mont Blanc. It is placed diagonally on its plot to maximize views and sunlight. A garden designed in collaboration with Belgian architect Erik Dhont surrounds the house.
The house features three staircases and multiple direct passages, some hidden. Stretching around a large cedar tree, the design allows for varied pathways that offer diverse views of both interior and exterior landscapes.
Renewing the spatial experience of one’s home is both playful and aesthetic, contributing to a constantly renewed sense of well-being.
